As of February 19, 2025, this project has been cancelled. Mill Creek Road currently lacks storm water conveyance (pipes and catch basins) along the south/southeast side of the street from the intersection of this street with Bothell-Everett Highway to a point approximately 1400 feet northeast. This area received water drainage from the vegetated slope along the road, as well as drainage flowing downhill on the street. During storms and other signficant surface water events, the water does not stay in the curb and gutter, but tends to flow out over the street surface (and can freeze during the winter season). This project will install approximately 1,400 lineal feet of storm water pipe and catch basins along the south/southeast side of the street to capture storm water more effectively before routing it to the existing storm water conveyance on the north/northwest side of the street before the base of the hill at the Mill Creek Rd/Bothell-Everett Highway intersection. This project will also include removing and replacing concrete curb and gutter and asphalt street surface for the total length of the improvement, and may also require replacing the guardrail on the south side of the street if it will be disturbed by construction activities. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
