Site work for a water / sewer project in Mill Creek, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project anticipates that the City's Dobson/Remillard/Church/Cook (DRCC) property development moving forward in phases in accordance with recommendations to be developed out of the 2023 Master Plan project (PK00001). It is anticipated that development of the City's property for recreational and similar purposes will necessitate storm water utility improvements under North Creek Drive between the Heather wood Apartments area and the Mill Creek Sports Park/Freedom Field, both to support the needs of the adjacent City property developments as well as new pedestrian improvements to North Creek Drive. North Creek Drive currently has no storm water utility service along the frontage of the City property, and will require both pipes and catch basins to capture and convey storm water once curbs and sidewalks are constructed. Further, even if flow control and/or water quality facilities are incorporated into the development of the City property, the changes in storm water conveyance and service needs may necessitate additional storm water facilities to address new impervious surfaces, new and/or re-routed outfalls, and potential modifications to the existing storm water pond adjacent to the west side of North Creek Drive to address additional storm water management needs. Estimates of this project's expenses and potential funding source(s) will need to be updated in a future Capital Improvement Plan, once the Master Plan has been completed and adopted, as particular preferred development plans may require different storm water improvements. This project is associated with a similar non-motorized transportation improvement project (NM00004). This project is included in the City of Mill Creek's FY 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) As of March 15, 2023, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. Construction is anticipated in 2026.* *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
