The Project generally consists of constructing: Furnishing and installation approximately 20,000 linear feet of 2 , 4 , 6 and 8 DR18 C900 PVC pipe and fitting Furnishing and installing approximately 20,000 linear feet of temporary 2 bypass pipe as needed for project construction Furnishing and installing 32 gate valves in 2 , 4 , 6 and 8 sizes Furnishing and Installation of 8 fire hydrants with guard valves Performing two bores, totaling approximately 120 linear feet under SH 65 with 16-inch diameter steel casing and water main installation Furnishing and installing two (2) master flow monitoring meters in 72 diameter concrete manholes Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis, with additive or deductive alternate bid items (if any) as indicated in the Bid Form. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder and a Certificate(s) of insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the receipt of Bids noted above. The right is reserved to reject any or all Bids received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner.
