Water System Improvements - 2022 generally consisting of 97 lineal feet LF of 8" PVC water mains; 4,690 LF of 6" PVC water mains; 882 LF of 4" PVC water mains; 54 LF of 2" PVC water service; 60 LF of 12" steel casing bore and jack; 24 - 6" and 11 - 4" valves; 2 fire hydrant assemblies; remove and reinstall an existing fire hydrant assembly; remove and salvage two (2) fire hydrant assemblies; 49 - 3/4 " water service taps; 250 LF of 3/4 " service line; 1 - 1" water service tap; 10 LF of 1" service line; connections to the existing water distribution system; 110 LF of flowable fill installed around new water mains; Chlorination Building Improvements, internal piping, pressure gauge, yard piping, flow meter, valves, chlorine feed pumps, electrical control and power conductors and conduits; Bulk Water station Improvements; Water Treatment Plant Improvements internal piping, valves, removal and replacement of support gravels and media, and replace with Greensand Plus media, electrical control and power conductors and conduits, new backwash pumps, waste piping, yard piping, existing manhole modifications, removal and replacement of 45 mil synthetic liner; equipment consisting of soda ash feed system, injector and mixer; cellular based auto- read meter reading system, 60 meter pit assemblies and meters, five (5) - 2" meter pits assemblies, one (1) meter, 100 meter replacements, and meter setter, and 45 spare meters; and SCADA control system; together with appurtenances and incidentals of construction A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Town of Boone (Owner) negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with the Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders shall note that funding for this project is being made available through the Pueblo County ARPA federal stimulus funds. The requirements associated with this funding source include, but are not limited to, provisions for Davis-Bacon wages that set forth the minimum salaries and wages within the contract documents that must be paid on the project. The current applicable Davis-Bacon Wage Decisions are the PRIMARY Heavy Decision Number CO20230002, 01/06/2023, Modification Number 0, dated 01/06/2023; and the SECONDARY Highway Decision Number CO20230008, 01/06/2023, Modification Number 0, dated 01/06/2023.
