Site work for a water / sewer project in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The bidder shall submit a project plan using the design standards below that is in compliance with all applicable HUD, EPA, and State of Illinois regulations as well as all local building and zoning codes. The plan must include a clear project timeline and budget with line item costs. The contractor shall act as the general contractor for the project using subcontractors as required. Subcontractors that will be required should be clearly identified in the project plan. This water Service will need to be disconnected from the main that runs underneath 27th street. Approved disconnect methods at the main to ensure water will be contained to the main line and not leak or seep after burial. Run a new tap and 3/4” copper line from the main in the street into the house, attaching the line north of the existing connection that has been terminated. Install a new curb box and shut off valve in the easement between the city sidewalk and street. Once inside protect the new line from damage where the penetrating through the concrete. Install a new inline shut off valve and then the meter. There is a section that is PVC currently installed after the meter, looking to have this replaced with copper connecting back to the galvanized. Make sure the electrical ground is installed back on to the new service line. Plumbing permit is required. All questions shall be directed to the Construction Officer at 309-732-2906.
