The West Chester Area School District, Chester County, Pennsylvania, solicits sealed bids for blacktop mill and overlay paving replacement at Stetson Middle School and Peirce Middle School in West Chester, PA. The Work consists of select demolition, milling, and replacement of existing blacktop paving at Stetson Middle School and Peirce Middle School. Sealed bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the West Chester Area School District. Checks or bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the contract has been awarded, or the bids rejected. The successful bidder's check or bond will be returned when his contract has been properly completed. In case the successful bidder fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of bid, said check or bond shall be forfeited to the School District. All bids must be accompanied by Non-Collusion Affidavit, Contractor's Qualification Statement, and Bid Security in accordance with the Bid Documents. Bids must remain in force for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening and may be rejected any time prior to the expiration of said date. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price. Surety shall be satisfactory to the School District and shall be included in the contractor's bid amount. Recommendation for Award of Bids will be made to the School Directors at a School Board Meeting. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, and to make or not make awards in the best interest of the West Chester Area School District
