The work is generally described as follows: interior and exterior improvements to the Jackson Civic Center. Inquiries or questions regarding the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening directed to the City Engineer's Office in writing via email to m.garcia@wgainc.net. Bids are required for the entire project as set forth in the specifications, and all work shall be completed within 30 work days. At the time the contract is awarded, the Contractor shall possess a Class B license. This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990 and payment to the Contractor shall be in accordance with Section 9-1.16, "Progress Payments" of the State Standard Specifications and the project specifications. The successful bidder shall furnish a fully executed payment bond and performance bond. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Department of Labor, Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Housing and Community Development. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in Amador County have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. The wages set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project are available from the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet web site . This project also includes Federal funding and is subject to Davis Bacon Prevailing Wages and Regulations. See Attachment "Labor Compliance Information" for wage compliance requirements.
