The City of Newton is currently accepting bids for the ground maintenance during the 2023 mowing season of the City Hall/Police/Fire facility located at 101 W. 4th St. S., Newton, Iowa. Grounds maintenance services include lawn care and landscaping care for the entire facility grounds. Services required for landscaping and lawn care are identified in the Description of Public Improvement Work to be Performed section outlined in attached document. The requirements shall be used as guidelines, but may be adjusted from time to time as mutually agreed upon by the Finance Officer and the grounds maintenance services contractor. Contractor shall coordinate work activities and hours with the Finance Officer, provide a certificate of insurance annually documenting all insurance coverage as dictated below, and provide all equipment for grounds maintenance. Interested parties are encouraged to make a site visit prior to the bid date to become familiar with the general site conditions.
