The work for which proposals are invited consists of all materials, labor, and equipment to remove existing culvert with new concrete culver along with appurtenances. The Contract Documents including Specifications may be examined at the Township House located at 601 North Main Street, Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 and obtained from the Issuing Office of the Consulting Engineer, Mote & Associates, Inc., 214 West Fourth Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331 (937.548.7511). The Owner and/or Engineer will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have purchased the Contract Documents from Mote & Associates, Inc. and are registered as a planholder. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete list of all subcontractors to be used. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than October 31, 2023. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Preble County as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614-644-2239. Harrison Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom in their consideration offered the lowest and best proposal. No pre-Bid conference will be held. All questions must be received no later than April 7, 2023. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record any Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions received.
