Completed plans call for site work for a 777-square-foot, one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

A. Project Identification: Long Creek Greenway and Water Quality Improvement Project - Interstate 485 to Oakdale Road. B. Consultant Identification: The Contract Documents, dated March 20th, 2023, were prepared for the Project by LandDesign Inc., Wildlands Engineering Inc, STV Inc, and Neighboring Concepts. C. The work consists of: 1. Existing Conditions: a. The project site is located along Long Creek from I-485 to Oakdale Road. The site is relatively flat and wooded with several tributaries and/or drainage channels connecting to Long Creek. The contractor will be expected to coordinate and sequence work between the greenway construction and stream restoration construction activities. Also, the contractor shall coordinate any construction activities that occur at Primm Road and Riceland Place, with the owner in order to minimize nonaccessible times and disruption to the site. b. The project has no existing buildings that will be effected during construction. Bid, Performance, and Payment & Material Bonds Are Required. Nc Law and Applicable Regulations of Various Licensing Boards and Bdi Provisions Will Be Observed. The Project Includes +/- 2.4 Miles of New Greenway Trail (Asphalt, Concrete, and Boardwalk) With Public Access Connections, Swale Bridges, Culverts, Modular Block Retaining Wall, and Two (2) Pre-fabricated Bridges of Varying Spans. Oakdale Road and Primm Road (Ncdot) Improvements, Trail Head Parking Area, Associated Storm Drainage, Restroom Building (With Associated Utilities), and Water Quality/detention Pond (Bioretention). Stream Restoration to Include +/- 1.5 Miles of Stream Improvements Including Realignment of Existing Centerline, Installation of in-stream Structures, and Revegetation of Restoration Areas.
