BIDS will be received by the Board of County Commissioners at the Douglas County Auditor/Treasurer Office at the Douglas County Administration Building, 821 Cedar St, Alexandria, Minnesota, 56308, until 1:00 pm, April 3, 2023 for reclaiming, bituminous surfacing and aggregate shouldering on SP 021-682-026 (CSAH 82). Major Items: Aggregate Surfacing, Class 1 - 2,709 Tons Full Depth Reclamation - 151,649 Square Yards Mill Bituminous Surface -27,606 Square Yards Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mixture - 33,625 Tons Sanitary Chimney Seal -4 Each Construct Drainage Structure Design H - 1.3 Linear Feet Concrete Curb and Gutter - 482 Linear Feet Concrete Walk - 1,364 Square Feet Traffic Control -1 Lump Sum Linear Markings, 4" Yellow Multi Comp (Gr. In) - 15,454 Linear Feet Linear Markings, 6" White Multi Comp, (Gr. In) - 63,450 Linear Feet Pavement Messages, Preformed Thermoplastic (Gr. In) - 610 Square Feet Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or a Certified Check in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid made payable to Douglas County. Bids must be sealed and shall be clearly marked "SP 021-682-026". Douglas County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities thereof. Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations. "It is hereby agreed between the parties that this agency will require affirmative action requirements be met by contractors in relation to Minnesota Statute 363A.36 and Minnesota Rules 5000.3600. Failure by a contractor to implement an affirmative action plan or make a good faith effort shall result in revocation of its certificate or revocation of the contract (Minnesota Statute 363A.36, Subd. 2 and 3)." A minimum goal of 4.7 % Good Faith Effort to be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
