Site work and paving for a road / highway in Camas, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

NW Lake Road and NW Sierra Street is currently a 3-legged non-signalized intersection with a stop sign on NW Sierra Street. The surrounding area includes several private properties. This intersection connects two roads that are critical links between the south lake shore and Prune Hill areas of the City. Average daily traffic entering the intersection is approaching 12,000. The City has budgeted pre-construction funds to complete design, permitting, and to secure the necessary property rights for this project. It is anticipated the constructed intersection improvements will be completed as a traffic signal; however, the City will be asking the selected consultant to complete an evaluation during preliminary design to review both a signal option and a roundabout option. The work to be performed by the selected consultant will be divided into two major "stand-alone" phases: This project is fully funded through the preliminary engineering and right-of-way phases. Total estimated costs as identified in the City's budget include $100,000 for Preliminary Engineering and Right-of-Way. There is currently $500,000 allotted for construction in 2024. Complete design, right-of-way acquisition, environmental permitting approval and construction authorization by January 31, 2024 An electronic copy of the aerial photo of the project area may be obtained by contacting James Carothers at jcarothers@cityofcamas.us or 360-817-7230 Questions regarding this Request for Qualifications can be directed to James Carothers (contact information provided above).
