The Town of Clintwood (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Baker Ridge Water System Improvements Project The Project includes the following Work: The base bid construction of approximately 4,722 linear feet of 6" water line, three (3) fire hydrants, two (2) blow-off assemblies, one (1) air release/vacuum valve, three (3) 6" gate valves, four (4) 2" gate valves, one (1) booster pump station with hydro-tank, and associated appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract for each individual Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. Bidders must comply with the following: The President's Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to The Lane Group, Inc. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
