The Orleans Town Administrator will receive sealed proposals for all contracted Wire Inspector services for the period beginning July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 with the Town having the option of extending each individual contract annually for additional two years. The total term of the contracts will not exceed three years. Proposals be must be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes indicating the applicant's name and mailing address and clearly marked WIRING INSPECTOR'S NON-PRICE PROPOSAL and WIRING INSPECTOR'S PRICE PROPOSAL The Town Administrator reservesthe right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and waive any informalities in the procedures to the extent allowed by law and make the award as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The proposal award will be made on or before May 26, 2023. Consistent with the requirements of state procurement regulations under M.G.L. Chapter 30B, proposers must submit separate price and technical (i.e., non-price) proposals. Under separate sealed cover, clearly marked "WIRING INSPECTOR PRICE PROPOSAL" on the envelope, the proposer must submit the following: 1) Price per inspection for the first, second and third year of the contract, each office hour is considered an inspection. The Town of Orleans Wiring Inspector conducted 1056 inspections in 2022, 1060 inspections in 2021 and 985 inspections in 2020. 2) Proposals will include all costs for transportation, liability and workers compensation insurance, and emergency callouts for a one to a three-year contract.
