As of May 16, 2023, project was awarded to Steelco Fence Erecting Co awarded amount is $223.372.26. For the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment necessary for the repair and replacement of various guardrails located within the Town of Bolton, Massachusetts. A Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form of a bid bond or certified check payable to the Town of Bolton must accompany bids. The Bid deposit will be forfeited if the bidder fails to execute the contract and satisfactory Bond within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded to the bidder. This contract requires a 50% Performance Bond and a 50% Payment Bond in accordance with MGL Chapter 149, Section 29. All work authorized under this contract is to be completed no later than June 1, 2023. All wage rates will comply with those established by the Commonwealth Department of Labor and Workforce Development, MGL, Chapter 149, Sections 26-27G as set forth in the contract documents. Bidders for this project shall be prequalified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation for the specified work. The town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids, or to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Town. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
