Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Virginia City, Montana. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of the replacement of the Jack Creek Road Bridge (JC4) over Jack Creek (MDT Bridge# - 03595) with a 3-sided concrete box culvert (or similar structure). The new structure will be 60 feet long and will provide 30 feet of span and 6 feet of rise; the 3-sided concrete box culvert will be placed on concrete footings with stem walls. Improvements consist of but are not limited to: removal of the existing bridge, structure excavation, riprap, supply and installation of precast concrete footings and stem walls, wingwalls, 3-sided concrete box culvert, approach guardrail, bridge rail, structural backfill, riprap, roadway embankment, gravel base course, crushed aggregate surfacing, and other miscellaneous items. There will not be a Pre-Bid conference conducted for this project. Interested Contractors are encouraged to visit the site on their own.
