Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Virginia City, Montana. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade bridge / tunnel.
The work consists of replacing the Seyler Lane Bridge over the Ruby River, located 3.5 miles south of Twin Bridges in Madison County, Montana. The project involves removal of the existing two-span, 62’ span x 22’ usable width bridge and construction of a new 100’ span x 24’ usable width single-span bridge using precast prestressed concrete bulb tee beams on a driven pile foundation. Additional improvements include removal of the existing bridge, installing riprap, supplying and installing precast concrete bulb tee beams, steel pipe piles, cast-in-place concrete pile caps and wingwalls, guardrail, bridge rail, structural backfill, roadway embankment, asphalt pavement surfacing, aggregate base, signing, approach culverts, fencing, and related miscellaneous items. Bidding documents and plans are available for examination or purchase through the designated engineering office and listed exchanges.
