Mount Pleasant Waterworks (MPW) is soliciting request for qualifications (RFQ) from contractors licensed in the installation of water and wastewater infrastructure for projects approved under MPW s Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Budget (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2025).Potential contractors shall have in-depth experience in the rehabilitation/replacement and in the construction/installation of the asset categories described below: -- Wastewater Collection -- Pump Stations -- Forcemains -- Water Distribution Lines Due to the complex nature of these asset categories, MPW will be pre-qualifying General Contractors for each asset category. MPW reserves the right to reject any prequalification submittal and to waive informalities as deemed appropriate. MPW s website beginning April 3, 2023. MPW's Forcemain Asset Class Projects are used to improve the existing wastewater transmission system and have been identified through the Asset Management Program for various reasons. These projects may include replacement of existing mains to alleviate existing maintenance issues or increase the flow capability of the connected wastewater pump station; installation of new mains to provide additional system flow; or relocation of existing mains to accommodate transportation projects. These projects will consist of installing force mains of varying diameters (4" to 36") of various pipe material (PVC, FPVC, HDPE, and DIP) with multiple construction methods (horizontal directional drill, bore and jack, and open trench excavation). This work will be completed within existing SCDOT and/or Town of Mount Pleasant R/W and within MPW easements. All work will be completed in accordance with local, state, and federal permits and regulations.
