Questions Due Date: Jun 14th 2023, 12:00 PM EDT The refurbishment of the Fire Department's Marine Fire Suppression Boat (M501). It is a twentyeight foot twin engine Viking marine resource boat. The work for M501 will include the replacement of outboards, electronic equipment, navigation package, exterior paint, seating, and fire suppression pump/plumbing. The boat will be equipped with two 300 hp four-stroke outboard engines, rebuilt 1000 GPM fire pump/plumbing, shock absorbing seats, thermal camera, radiation detection, protective exterior paint, GPS, transducer, heading sensor, compass, radar dome, VHF Radio, Chart plotter, flood lights, and a Mobile Data Terminal. Substitutions are allowed. 1) Replace Outboard Engines a) Remove old engines (2), rigging, controls, and displays. b) Install 2, 300 HP Engines, rigging, cables, controls, and displays. c) Connect, fill with fluids. d) Install new fuel filtration, Stainless Steel props and test. 2) Lighting upgrade a) Replace four (4) flood lights, nav lights, lightbar, courtesy light, remote search light. b) Seal the wiring into the hardtop, and to check the electrical from the hardtop down for any chafe points or corrosion. 3) Electronics a) Replace electronics. b) Remove MFD, radar backbone, compass, and antennas. c) Install MFD, radar, transducer, compass, new dash panel and IT systems, run cables, connect, and test all systems. 4) Seats a) Remove seats and pedestals, install new shock absorbing fold away seats and pedestals. 5) Fire Pump & Plumbing Rebuild a) Remove and rebuild fire pump, plumbing and valves Includes bearings and Impellar. 6) Electrical a) Inspect wall wiring on boat. b) Check general electrical condition on all switches, bus bars, fuse blocks, and breaker panels for corrosion. c) Replace all saltwater exposed breakers and controls. d) Test all systems 7) Thermal Camera a) Remove and install Flir thermal camera and accessory cable. b) Bed items, run cables, hook up and test. Each Bidder shall carefully examine the solicitation documents, including any Addenda.
