This project will upgrade existing pole-mounted exterior luminaires from conventional high intensity discharge (HID) light sources to solid-state light emitting diode (LED) technologies. Existing luminaires will be replaced at their respective locations without changes to the light pole, foundations, or electrical feeds. This project is divided into separate areas for the purposes of bidding. The areas include: a. Base Bid shall include all luminaires in the North area of campus, indicated on the construction documents. The area includes the Main Parking and Overflow flow near the Challenge Course. Base bid also includes new bollards at the Pedestrian Bridge located south of the Weiss building (total 2 fixtures). b. Add Alternate #1 includes luminaires adjacent to Nichols North and South resident halls, indicated on the construction documents. c. Add Alternate #2 includes luminaires located in the parking area south of the Cramer and west of Yeager buildings. d. Add Alternate #3 includes luminaires located adjacent to Ross Hall. This alternate shall also include replacement of existing surface-mounted ceiling fixtures at each of the three buildings entries (6 fixtures total). e. Add Alternate #4 includes added accent lighting for the Spartan Sculpture located in front of the Hefley Gym.
