Questions arising subsequent to the issuance of this bid, that could have a significant impact on the responses to the bid, should be submitted in the bid Question and Answer section Event Number # WJPU23032901 at the Utah Public Procurement Place. All such questions should be received by April 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. MST. Answers to questions will be posted on the Utah Public Procurement Place which will then email the answer to all Vendors that downloaded the bid. Well #6 is located at 5975 West Dannon Way (9280 South) in West Jordan, Utah. This project must be completed by December 31, 2023. The City will coordinate the Notice to Proceed with the winning low bidder. In general, the work shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Arrange for a power disconnect with the power company. 2. Disconnect power from the motor. 3. Pull the motor and inspect. Disassemble the motor and make whatever repairs are necessary to bring it into compliance with the manufacturer's specifications, which may include re-winding and dip and bake of windings. 4. Replace all bearings. 5. Clean the motor inside and outside. 6. Re-assemble the motor. Rev: 7.2020 7. Pull a 12-inch well column, discharge head, shaft, pump, and two sounding tubes. Replace damaged sections. Clean sections that will remain. The contractor may be required to remove a column that has sheared inside the casing. 8. Brush and bale the existing well. 9. Reinstall the column, discharge head, shaft, sounding tubes, pump motor, and power connections. 10. Disinfect columns inside and outside in accordance with AWWA standards. 11. Conduct a test of the pump assembly and assure the water level transducer is operating freely in sounder tubing. 12. Check the pump curve efficiency of operation to verify it is operating at an acceptable level. 13. Clean the facility to its previous condition prior to work. The Bidder shall familiarize itself with the nature and extent of the scope of work requirements, site, and legal requirements including state and local laws, HIPPA, ordinances, rules and regulations, and the conditions affecting cost, the progress of performance of the work, and shall make all such independent investigations, as Bidder deems necessary to submit a responsible bid.
