The last day to submit questions for the project will be April 18, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. Any questions submitted after the deadline will not be answered. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, construction of a new influent flow meter manhole; and new mechanical screens, washer/compactors, grit removal baffles, new equipment hatches, flap gates, piping, electrical, and concrete repair for the Headworks Improvements. The Owner has selected the manufacturer of the mechanical screens and washer/compactors at the Headworks. The Contractor selected for this project will furnish and install all equipment and electrical for the mechanical screens and washer/compactors. Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Drawings and Technical Specifications Plans, City of Merced Standard Specifications and Typical Details, and the Special Conditions shall be performed, placed, constructed, or installed. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A license at the time of submitting bids. T: The City reserves the right after opening bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality (non-responsiveness) in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder (as determined per the Instructions to Bidders) and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interest of the City As a condition of award, the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond on the Citys forms each in the full amount of the contract price Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to the City of Merced.
