Contract 1 Major Items include 7,727 SY of milling and 773 tons of wearing course in the base bid with alternates of up to an additional 11,456 SY milling, 1,146 TN of wearing course, and Stormwater improvement alternates with up to 74 LF of piping, 1 inlet, 95 LF of curbing and 11 LF of trench drain. Contract 2 Major Items include 2,072 SY Milling and 207 TN of wearing course in the base bid. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay of the contract award value. Construction Cost Estimate Base Bid: $170,000 to $180,000 There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to Thornbury Township, must accompany each bid. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The Township of Thornbury reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids thereof, and waive any information in the bidding, as they deem are in the best interest of the Township.
