Wright State University (WSU) has developed a Groundwater Monitoring Plan (attached) in response to a previously issued Notice of Violation from Ohio EPA. As part of the Groundwater Monitoring Plan, WSU must provide various annual and semi-annual testing events for a period of five years. Two years of sampling has occurred. This project is for the testing and sampling The sampling, test methods, data collection, documentation and report requirements are detailed in the attached Plan. A completed report submitted to Ohio EPA within 90 days of completing the monitoring, for both semi-annual and annual monitoring events. Reports should use more than one graph to illustrate the concentrations over time for the monitoring wells. The type of pump used for sampling and the evaluation of the sampling purge rates much be included for each monitoring well. The sampling rate for low flow sampling is typically 500 milliliters per minute (mL/min) or less. The advantages of low-flow sampling are decreased purge volumes, increased recharge into well, decreased potential to purge the well dry and decreased turbidity. Include the chloride concentrations detected in the production wells for the monitoring periods.
