Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Dayton, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and parking garage.

The City does not guarantee that any contract will be awarded because of this RFP. If a contract award is made but the contract is not executed, the City does not guarantee that the contract will be re-awarded. Each Consultant seeking consideration for performance of services related to this RFP must submit a proposal. All proposals shall be submitted as a PDF via electronic submission The Police Station will have separate public and private entrances, elevators, and secured stairwells, if multiple floors in a shared building, allowing the ability to ensure secure areas and to separate staff from the public portions of the operations. The Police Station will also require secure locker rooms and weapons storage areas. The Police Station shall include all applicable security measures, ballistic components, and best practice measures to ensure officer safety. The total size of the Joint Facility building is anticipated to be approximately 18,000-23,000 square feet based on a needs assessment and fiscal confines of the project. A clean, healthy workplace environment, free of harmful contaminants and excessive noise, with access to quality air, light, and water, is paramount for everyone working in the facility. Construction Administration Services Allowance - This project shall include construction administrative services outlined under "Project Management" and "Schedule". Payment for services provided shall be included in the "Complete Construction Administration Allowance," Lump Sum Allowance of $150,000.00. The awarded proposer will work with DFD and DPD (as well as other City representatives) to help identify and evaluate various locations to ensure optimal response efficiency and adequate size and space for construction and parking within the project scope. The project will include a comprehensive needs assessment of current DFD and DPD facilities to determine space requirements and provide for specialty areas for 24-hour operations in the new Joint Facility All communications/questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing referencing the specific paragraph and page number. The deadline for questions is listed in Section 1.02 (RFP Schedule). Written responses will be prepared by the City and posted on the City's web site by the date listed in Section 1.02. Changes to this RFP will be made only by formal written correspondence issued by the City. The proposed RFP schedule is to be reviewed with City Procurement and HRC, if required, and shall be mutually agreed upon. RFP schedule to be determined prior to finalization of RFP.
