The Matanuska-Susitna Borough is requesting bids from contractors to provide a bike rack and shelter for the DSJ Borough building. A plan set for the Bike Rack Shelter are provided. City of Palmer building permit has been issued. This project must be completed by June 30, 2023. A. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, shipping, and incidentals required to complete the Work. B. The contractor is responsible for verifying the existing conditions. C. The contractor is responsible for proper removal and disposal of all waste, debris and excess materials. D. The DSJ dumpster are not to be used. E. The contractor is responsible to confirm the plan review and permit requirements from the City of Palmer. F. The work has been permitted by the City of Palmer. Verify with the City of Palmer for the shelter and installation requirements, which may include inspections. G. The facility is located at 350 E Dahlia Ave, Palmer AK 99645 H. Electronic copy (PDF) of material submittals and documents showing rated fire assembly for the products being applied and delivered to the Borough Project Manager prior to start of work. Delivery, Storage, and Handling A. All materials and equipment storage and security is the responsibility of the contractor. B. The Borough Project Manager will be notified immediately of any material shortages or problems that would cause delay Project Site Conditions A. The DSJ is an active facility, and the Work needs to be coordinated with the DSJ maintenance staff and the project manager. B. Attending the site visit is highly recommended. C. Project staging and parking lot coordination will need to be worked out with the awarded contractor. If necessary the work can be done during non-business hours and on weekends to avoid parking lot traffic coordination during business hours. 1.04 Clean-Up and Inspection The project work area shall be free of all equipment, debris, containers, and packaging at the end of each work day.
