The District is located in Larimer County, Colorado. It owns and operates a sewer collection system and wastewater Treatment Plant. The Treatment Plant has two (2) oxidation ditches. Oxidation Ditches No.1 was put on-line in 2013. The Oxidation Ditches are Veolia Watter Technologies dba Kruger) Bio-Denipho treatment systems. The primary aeration systems are surface mounted brush aerators with four (4) drive units per ditch. The layout of the ditches is shown on Exhibits A and A1. In 2022 the District performed an inspection of the ditch drive units and determined that there was damage to the gearboxes due to installation and maintenance issues and several were near failure. This RFP is to find qualified contractors to replace three (3) gearboxes, install one (1) new bearing and three (3) rebuilt bearings on Oxidation Ditch No. 1 A. Scope of Work Initial Inspection and Work Plan development. o Inspect the existing ditch aerator installation and determine plan for gearbox replacement. o Provide a memorandum of the contractor plan to replace the gearboxes to the District for review. Gear Replacement o Replace existing gearboxes with new MAXXDRIVE units from Nord Drive System. Existing drives are 60 HP, 9.0 meter, Maxi-Rotor systems by Kruger. o Provide all equipment, labor and material to provide for a complete installation of the new gearboxes. o Provide new Stainless Steel (SS) Flange for new MAXXDRIVE units. o Provide one new end bearing for Drive Unit No. 1 and rebuild end bearings for Drive Units No. 2, 3 and 4. o The Gearbox shall be designed for the transmitted effect of 60 HP with a lifetime calculated to 100,000 hours at full load. o The existing vertical motor shall be reused and shall be direct connected to the gear shaft by means of a maintenance free flexible coupling. By means of a maintenance free flexible coupling, the gear output shaft is connected direct to the rotor shaft with and index fit. The contractor shall level the gearbox using a machinist level accurate to 0.0005" in 10". The rotor flange shall be aligned to machined surface on the gearbox with a dial indicator to withing +/- 0.002" T.I.R. Scope of Work - District Provides: The District will provide the Contractor: A.
