Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 21,168-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the "City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the New Fire and Paramedic Station at 495 Taylor Kidd Boulevard as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the "Deliverables"). The work comprises general construction of a new fire and paramedic station at 495 Taylor Kidd Boulevard, Kingston, Ontario. The construction of the facility includes but is not limited to the following: - Site work, including removal of existing unsuitable bearing soil, servicing of the new building, grade raise to the new building elevation, a new generator, stormwater ponds, paving, and landscaping. A portion of the site work also takes place within an easement in an existing Hydro One service corridor. - Construction of a new one storey combined fire and paramedic facility. - New traffic signal on Taylor Kidd Boulevard complete with an interconnection to the existing signal at the existing intersection of Taylor Kidd Boulevard and Demers Avenue.
