Renovation of a water / sewer project in West Palm Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of West Palm Beach is accepting bids from qualified and responsible Contractors to furnish and assume full responsibility for all labor, material, construction equipment and machinery, transportation, tools, appliances, fuel, power, light, telephone, water, sanitary facilities, temporary facilities and all other facilities and incidentals necessary, including supervision, servicing, taxes, bonds and insurance, permitting fees, traffic control, security, miscellaneous costs, warranties, general conditions, overhead and profit to perform the above-referenced project, as shown in the construction plans and described in the technical specifications for the project. Lift Station No.26 (LS 26): Lift Station No. 26 (LS 26) is currently a triplex (i.e. three pump) lift station, which is located in Gettler Park. The City Park is located at the intersection of 45 th Street and N Flagler Drive. The station is currently a triplex station equipped with a valve vault, wet well, and submersible type pumps. The City plans to use the existing pumps in the new lift station configuration. The station serves the surrounding areas through a network of gravity sewers. All flow conveyed to LS 26 is pumped into a twelve (12) inch force main and subsequently into a downstream gravity sewer system. The project includes improvements to the gravity collection system including the modification of the receiving manhole, which will receive all gravity wastewater prior to discharge to the new wet well. The average daily flow to LS 26 is approximately 0.41 million gallons per day (MGD) Lift Station No. 45 (LS 45) is currently a duplex (i.e. two pumps) dry-pit can type lift station, which is located within the median at the intersection of Australian Avenue and 10 th Street in West Palm Beach, Florida (Palm Beach County ('PBC') right of way). As part of the current project the existing dry-pit, which houses the lift station pumps, shall be abandoned and the existing wet well modified to facilitate conversion of the lift station to a submersible type lift station. Currently, wastewater is collected by two separate gravity collection systems, which each discharge directly into the LS 45 wet well. The project includes improvements to the gravity collection system including the construction of a single receiving manhole, which will receive all gravity wastewater prior to discharge to the modified wet well. The average daily flow to LS 45 is approximately 0.27 million gallons per day (MGD) Lift Station No. 51 (LS 51) is currently a duplex (i.e. two pumps) dry-pit can type lift station, which is located within the median of Australian Avenue south of 36 th Street in West Palm Beach, Florida (PBC right of way). As part of the current project the existing dry-pit, which houses the lift station pumps, shall be abandoned and the existing wet well modified to facilitate conversion of the lift station to a submersible type lift station. Wastewater is collected by two separate gravity collection systems, which each discharge directly into the LS 51 wet well. The average daily flow to LS 51 is approximately 0.41 MGD. The construction on Lift Station's No.45 & 51 MUST start Early,2023 and be completed no later than Fall,2024. This is to ensure that the scheduled Palm Beach County Grant project on Australian Ave between Banyan Blvd and 45th Street commences without delay.
