Sonoma County Junior College District ("District") dba Santa Rosa Junior College invites proposals from qualified Firms for hazardous waste packing/lab packing, removal (i.e. transportation) and disposal services. Submit questions via email to Jessica Lofgren at jlofgren@santarosa.edu before the deadline of May 1, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Responses to proposer questions will be posted in the of the e-bid portal via addendum by May 5, 2023. The Sonoma County Junior College District utilizes the college district website for notification of formal solicitation opportunities. These are the only forms of notification authorized by the college District. Sonoma County Junior College District shall not be responsible for receipt of notification and information received from any other source other than those listed. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to verify the validity of all bid information received by sources other than those listed. Board of Trustees RFP Award June 13, 2023. 1. The Firm shall be responsible for the following duties in adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations: packing/lab packing, labeling, manifesting, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste. Attachment "A" lists the general shipping name of hazardous waste that have been disposed of in the last year. 2. The Firm shall provide necessary materials for packing/lab packing, and labeling hazardous waste as needed by the Firm. The District may request the Firm to provide additional materials for District use at the time of a hazardous waste pick-up. Firm shall submit additional pricing information for services and items not included in the scope of work. 3. The District will typically schedule three to four hazardous waste pickups during the fiscal year of July 1 to June 30. The District will initiate a pick up by calling the Firm to make arrangements and provide a list of materials to be picked up. The Firm must pick up the waste within ten (10) business days following the District's call. 4. The Firm may be asked to provide additional pricing for out of scope laboratory/profiling services, unknown identification, waste characterization, and emergency response services. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder(s). The basis of award will be determined by cost and vendor meeting the requirements and qualifying criteria contained in the bid documents and applicable addenda including life cycle cost, quality, availability, conformance to specifications, financial capability and service in the best interest of the DISTRICT. The District observes a summer 4/10 work schedule and is closed on Fridays between May 29 and July 29, 2023.
