Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Middletown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; water / sewer project; and for the construction of a transportation facility.

Expand Cargo Apron, Phase V (Drainage and Apron). This Drainage and Apron project (Phase V) is part of a multi-year, multi-construction package program underway at HIA to expand the airport's cargo operation. This Drainage and Apron project (Phase V) includes the proposed drainage construction from Taxiway G upstream to the new Cargo Apron expansion including the new cargo apron trench drain, glycol diversion vault, oil/water separator, oil/water diversion vault and installation of 68-inch by 43-inch elliptical concrete pipe, 36-inch and 42-inch reinforced concrete pipe, and various sizes of ductile iron pipe for the glycol and oil/water separator systems. Other utility work includes relocation of a sanitary gravity system, natural gas piping, and new oil/water separator vents and electric alarm controls. The drainage system installation under Taxiway G and the existing ramp will be performed utilizing the cut and cover method to install elliptical concrete pipe. The segment of Taxiway G and the existing ramp removed will need to be reconstructed as shown in the plans. This work also includes reconstruction of the centerline and edge lighting systems and installation of new airfield guidance signs. The project will include the construction of the southern portion of the new cargo apron expansion and will include construction of a new 17" concrete pavement section atop a stabilized base on an aggregate base in what is an existing grassed infield area. The project will tie into the existing cargo apron adjacent concrete to the east and the existing Taxilane H asphalt pavement to the west. The project includes specific and detailed construction phases to minimize impacts to airport operations and to allow for what will be the landside construction of the southern portion of the new cargo apron expansion The work site is located at the Harrisburg International Airport in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The prior work, Drainage and New Outfall project (Phase IV) consisted of drainage installation from Taxiway G to the Susquehanna River and is completed under separate contract by Others for a new drainage system complete from south of Taxiway G to the river outfall culvert through the flood dike. Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Surety Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the Contract Price Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to reject all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional Bids, in the Owner's sole discretion.
