Notice is hereby given that Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County (KPUD) will receive sealed bid proposals for Regional Phase 8C Water Main Materials Procurement at the KPUD Office, 1431 Finn Hill Road (P.O. Box 1989), Poulsbo, Washington 98370, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project is located at NE Minder Road & Port Gamble Road NE in the north end of the Kitsap County. Bids shall include all costs including delivery to the project site. Bids shall be made out on the proposal form furnished with the specifications. Each proposal or bid shall be completely sealed in a separate envelope, addressed to KPUD, with the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project plainly indicated on the outside of the envelope. Electronic bids will not be accepted. A 5% bid guarantee is required in the form of certified or cashier’s check, or surety bond. Bidders are advised that if the successful bidder falls to execute and return the contract, payment and performance bonds, and furnish a satisfactory insurance certificate within eight (8) calendar days after bid award, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to KPUD, and KPUD reserves the right to award the contract to the next lowest bidder, and each successive bidder, until the conditions of the award are met, at KPUD’s sole discretion. The Contract will be awarded to the qualified bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid. KPUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities in the bidding in accordance with the specifications. KPUD expects to award the contract at the May 23, 2023 Board Meeting following which contract documents will be sent the awardee. The delivery date for materials is to be no later than June 12, 2023. Insurance Certificate: This certificate of insurance and applicable endorsements in accordance with the Specifications must be submitted with the executed contract.
