Site work and paving for a civil project in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Contract work shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, etc. required to install approximately 2,854 feet of 8-inch open cut ductile iron water main, approximately 94 feet of 8-inch water main bored and jacked in 18" casing, approximately 130 feet of 8" sanitary sewer, water service lines, valves, vaults, fire hydrants, pavement patching, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, restoration, and all other incidental work necessary to complete this improvement along Vermont Street and Davis Court in the City of Rolling Meadows. Pre-qualification of Bidders in accordance with Section 102 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction in Illinois is required, along with a list of references in accordance with the General Provisions. All bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond, as defined in the General Requirements. No bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond, check or draft. A Performance Bond equal to 100% of the amount of the bid with sureties will be required of the successful bidder. The City reserves the right to defer award of the contract for up to sixty (60) calendar days after the date bids are received, and to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive bids and re-advertise for bids, if determined to be in the City the best interests. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/.01) and the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570).
