General Description of Work: The work involves grind and overlay, adjustment of utilities, and construction of curb and gutter, and accessible curb ramps, installation of traffic striping, pavement markers and markings, and other miscellaneous improvements and appurtenances as described in the project plans and specifications. The Garces Highway segment will also involve roadway widening, including construction of a conventional pavement section in addition to the work described above. Estimated Project Cost Range: $ 1,500,000.00 to $1,600,000.00 The City plans to issue Notice To Proceed by July 2023. The project shall be substantially completed within 90 Calendar days. Each bid shall be submitted on a form furnished as part of the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by cash, a cashiers check, a certified check, or a bidders bond executed by an admitted surety insurer or substitute pursuant to Section 995.710 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City. The security of unsuccessful bidders will be returned by the city no later than 60 days following the date of award.
