Site work and paving for a road / highway in Charlestown, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Questions regarding the specifications should be directed to Alan Arsenault, Director of Public Works by calling (401) 364-1230. The bid award shall be made by the "evaluated method". Evaluation shall be made on the basis of Qualification of the Bidder, Cost, Ability to perform the work in a timely and workmanlike manner, Experience (at least five years in R.I as a State/Municipal Rubberized Asphalt Chip Seal Vendor), Reputation of the bidder as a contractor in the Town of Charlestown, and any other criteria the Town Council deems relevant. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept that bid which it deems, in their sole judgment to be in the best interest of the Town. The Town of Charlestown is presently accepting bids for the complete contractual application of Rubberized Asphalt Chip Sealing TO BE PLACED IN APRIL-JUNE 2023, approximately 11,627 square yards more-or-less "in place", on designated Town highways. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
