The Groton Parks and Recreation Department is requesting bids to replace outdoor dasher system hockey rink. Current Rink configuration is a 200' x 85' x 28' radius wood framed dasher system. The boards are poly with 1/2 " acrylic shielding on an asphalt pad with concrete footings. Seeking new or used This Request for Proposal (RFQ) seeks a vendor to furnish the Town of Groton with Outdoor Dasher Board System Hockey Rink according to the specifications attached. The prospective bidder must complete the company information sheet and submit any required documents, but need not return the entire Request for Quotation. The bidder is not to include any taxes from which the Town is exempted by law. The Town will complete any tax exemption forms that the successful vendor may require if such forms are within the Towns legal parameters. The successful bidder shall deliver the outdoor dasher board system hockey rink to the Town of Groton Parks and Recreation department, 158 Groton Long Point Rd. Groton, CT 06340. Arrangements may be made by calling (860) 625-1226, Monday through Friday, 7AM until 3 PM Bids received after that date and time will not be considered by the Town of Groton. Any inquiries for this bid shall be directed via email to Karl Klein, Purchasing Agent, at kklein@groton-ct.gov no later than 12:00 p.m. eight (8) days prior to the bid opening. Pricing shall not be discussed with any individual in the Town other than the Purchasing Agent. Once a bid date has been established only questions relevant to the technical aspects of the bid or how to properly complete the bid form may be addressed. Any vendor contacting any individual other than those named in this section may have their bid rejected by the Purchasing Agent. If addendums clarifying the bid or providing additional information to bidders is necessary the Purchasing Agent of the Town can, at his/her option, extend the date of the bid opening. It is assumed that each vendor submitting a bid will have made himself/herself familiar with the requirements of the specifications and attend the pre-bid meeting scheduled if necessary so that his/her bid is all inclusive as per the intent of the specifications.
