As of June 1 the project was awarded to Edifice Design + Architecture , awarded amount not available . The University of Utah - U Facilities is soliciting the services of qualified firms/individuals to perform design services for the following project: The architectural team is expected to lead the planning effort and coordinate all documentation. The architect will lead the utility investigation and analysis and coordinate across disciplines to ensure that critical infrastructure is not overlooked and that information is clearly communicated to the University. The architect is also expected to coordinate with the hazardous materials abatement consultant, the general contractor and University facilities personnel. Develop design for future use of the site that may include parking lot, landscape, lighting, sidewalks, etc. Create a set of demolition drawings that will be submitted for code approval and bidding. Special Constraints: Towers are 14 stories tall. There could be utilities that are unknown. Vibration monitoring during demo may be needed due to research in the area. The selection shall be under the Value Based Selection method. The Solicitation for Architects / Engineers document, including the submittal requirements and the selection criteria and schedule, will be available on BidSync. No others are to be contacted regarding this solicitation. A representative from each interested prime firm is required to attend. During the meeting, a presentation will be made to describe the overall scope of work and intended schedule. Interested firms may ask questions and request clarification about the project and the procurement process. Subconsultants are invited to attend this meeting but it is not mandatory for them. Submittals shall include the name, phone, email , and fax number of the firm's contact person who should receive information during the selection process, should direct contact become necessary. The University of Utah reserves the right to reject any or all submittals or to waive any formality or technicality in any submittal in the interest of the University ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE UPLOADED TO www.bidsync.com.
