Site work and new construction of a military facility in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a military facility; and for site work for a military facility.
All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. In general the work consists of: Erection of a metal Unit Storage Building of approximately 1620 sq. ft. from an existing steel frame stored on site and includes new metal siding, new metal roof and placed on a reinforced concrete slab with grade beam. Also included is electrical service with internal LED lighting and outlets, a new double entry door and new interior chain link fence partitions. Included is a concrete apron connecting the building to the paved driveway. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
