Renovation of a military facility in Pullman, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Building 105 requires electrical repairs to existing wiring, junction boxes, conduit installation, electrical breaker upgrades, upgrades, and replacement of lighting and light fixtures. The Building is in need of updates to existing lighting to come in line with newer mandated eco-friendly initiatives, address light deficiencies, address outdated electrical codes, bring a number of areas up to code, and to address needs and safety concerns. Please see attachments for more information. A single organized site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. All individuals interested in attending the site visit should pre-register by emailing Ian.Guest@usda.gov and Michael.Shrlock@usda.gov no later than 2:00 p.m.PST Tuesday, May 9, 2023 with a list of names of attendees. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all professional services necessary for the accomplishment of the contract project and such required service shall be in accordance with the requirements as described herein and on attached contract documents. 3.1 Background: The USDA/ARS/NSAR Unit USDA's Main Building (Building 105) is located at PCFS at 4153 Albion Rd. Pullman, WA 99163. Building 105 requires electrical repairs to existing wiring, junction boxes, conduit installation, electrical breaker upgrades, upgrades, and replacement of lighting and light fixtures. The Building is in need of updates to existing lighting to come in line with newer mandated eco-friendly initiatives, address light deficiencies, address outdated electrical codes, bring a number of areas up to code, and to address needs and safety concerns. 3.2 Contractor shall remove and dispose of all current non-functioning parts and materials to be replaced, and replace any materials and parts needed in this contract to be in compliance with state and federal regulations. 3.2.1 Contractor shall remove existing materials from all areas, clean these areas, apply any cement/wood/metal surface sealant needed to address corrosion/rot, caulk any cracks, metal patching, etc where needed, and waterproof to prevent rust or rodent access. 3.2.2 In Building 105, Contractor shall install one (1) Sub Panel 1/0 120/240V with surface mount conduit to the two small offices and add two (2) receptacle outlets to each office. Extend circuit to add GFCI receptacle 120V, under sink for reverse osmosis system. Install restroom GFCI. Extend circuit to add receptacle outlet at desk hall office space. Clean up, bring up to code and insure proper Overcurrent Protection for furnace control. Run surface mount conduit to install 120V outlet for refrigerator. Verify proper grounding and bonding of branch circuits, and replacing loose/worn receptacles. Remove old lighting and install six (6) medium base 5000k LED lamps. Remove all the old lighting and install 110 4' T-8 5000k lamps LED & LED ballast bypass. Remove all the old lighting and install 3 8' T-8 single pin 5000k LED & LED ballast bypass. Do any retro fluorescent to LED ballast by pass direct 120V lamps as needed. Perform certified disposal of fluorescent lamps. Install motion sensors with manual option, for 16 toggle switches. Install all wiring, and any and all electrical services, materials, and parts to complete the job. If damages do occur, contractor may be liable for repairs and/or replacement of items. Contractor will promptly notify and work with on-site USDA government designated employees to address any found potential conflicts and/or hazards with regard to electrical wiring, gas and/or air lines and wires and/or structural conflicts.
