The North Country Village Cooperative has applied for funds through the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services American Rescue Plan Act Fund (ARPA), Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), and Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation (WIIN) to finance a drinking water and wastewater infrastructure project. The intent of the proposed drinking water project is to site, install, test, and permit a new bedrock water supply well. The well will then be connected to the newly constructed pump house. The intent of the proposed wastewater project is to design, permit and install two or three community leach fields to accept wastewater from all the homes, with new septic tanks and septic lines. The disturbance areas for the wastewater project will be located around homes, in the roadways, and in the community leach field areas, most of which has already been disturbed from its natural state. All required permits and approvals will be obtained prior to construction. Whereas this project constitutes only a minor project and no significant environmental impacts are anticipated, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) is proposed. PUBLIC REVIEW This public notice is published in accordance with the DWSRF and CWSRF rules and a 30-day comment period will be held. Comments will be accepted through June 5, 2023.
