The NEW BEDFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Community Center Fire Alarm System Upgrade - Caroline Street in in New Bedford, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by MACRITCHIE ENGINEERING, INC.. The replacement of the existing conventional fire alarm panel with a new addressable fire alarm panel. Upgrade the audible/visual devices, pull stations and heat detectors, with monitor modules, installation of new addressable smoke detectors and replacement of master box with a radio master box. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the NEW BEDFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000.
