Apparent Low Bidder is Desert Rain Construction LLC for $8,000.00. DESCRIPTION OF GOODS and/or SERVICES:Emergency Home Repairs - Reroof. The solicitation period may be extended for one (1) week periods until at least one (1) bid received at least 15 minutes prior to the end of the solicitation period. The roof is a flat roof with coating. The roof of the subject property is nearing the end of its life span, all necessary repairs to extend its functionality have been done. The eaves of the roof at the front of the house have been expanded in size and appear to be over spanned, my recommendation is if the subject property receives a new roof to eliminate the oversized expanded eaves back to approximately 24" total and have the beam like extensions cut back under the eaves with the facia attached to them. No purlin or sofit boards are present at the front and rear of the house making this section unsupported with no edge nailing available for the decking. Sections of the roof on the NE portion may have inappropriate sized decking as the decking is very spongey when traversed. Decking on the west eaves has rotted through. Many areas of inconsistent levels are present on the roof from various patches causing ponding in those areas. Facia boards at the front appear to have been patched before and may need replacement. Bids should be all inclusive meaning not allowance-based for decking, purlins and facia. Any appropriate method can be used to attain a new roof, while torch down bitumen will most likely be the most affordable method.
