Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Silverton, Oregon. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Silverton is seeking sealed bids to complete an asphalt pavement grind and overlay project on W Main Street in the west part of town. The project will include ADA ramp improvements, grinding existing pavement 2", and a 2" asphalt overlay. The area to be improved is W Main Street from Westfield to Center Street. Firms must be added to the planholder list to obtain documents. The City may reject any proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all proposals upon a finding of the City if it is in the public interest to do so. All questions related to the project must be directed to the Project Manager no later than June 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Questions must be submitted via e-mail to bstepp@silverton.or.us - Grind street area to be overlayed 2" per contract documents. - Install ADA ramps and sidewalk improvements per contract documents. Contractor will use City of Silverton curb ramp details to layout ramps that meet City Engineer approval prior to pour. - Crack seal entire overlay area and place geotextile fabric over the 24' of travel lane area. - Place 2" of hot mix asphalt on overlay area per contract documents. - Contractor will complete and pay for asphalt density testing during paving.
