Construction of 51' - 4" wide by 60' - 3" addition to the south side of the Law Enforcement Center Each Form of Proposal shall be made out on a blank Form of Proposal included in the Project Manual. Each Form of Proposal shall be accompanied in a marked separate envelope by a proposal guaranty in the form of certified or cashier's check drawn on a solvent Iowa bank, certified share draft drawn on a solvent Iowa credit union, or a Bid Bond using AIA Document A310 and signed by a surety organized under the laws of the State of Iowa, an amount of 5% of the Proposal Total Amount. The Proposal guaranty will be forfeited with the proceeds retained by the county as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to enter into a written contract and file an acceptable bond for the performance thereof, within fifteen (15) calendar days after acceptance of bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price; said bond shall be issued by a Surety organized under the laws of the State of Iowa and approved by the Board of Supervisors. The completion date is April 15, 2024; liquidated damages in the amount of $200.00 per day shall be assessed to the Contractor for every calendar day after July 15 th ,2024 until day of occupancy by Owner.
