Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grundy Center, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The extent of work involved includes furnishing labor, equipment, and new materials for construction of the Improvements. The Project includes the following Work: Replacement of existing 4-inch water main with 6-inch or 8-inch water main at five locations throughout the City of Grundy Center. There is a sixth location that will be bid as an alternate. The project includes 2,536 LF 6-inch water main, 1,328 LF 8-inch water main, 309 SY of removal/replacement of sidewalk & driveway pavement, 3,224 SY of 3-inch HMA pavement on 6-inches of special backfill, and 429 LF of curb & gutter removal/replacement. The project also includes services for watermain, erosion control, and seeding of all disturbed areas. Contractor has the option of open trench or trenchless construction for the water main installation.
