Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fairfield, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Proposed Parks Buildings - Waterworks Park Shelter and Chautauqua Park Maintenance Building - 2023, consisting of two (2) complete, functional wood frame metal buildings totaling 5,256 square feet Installation of 390 L.F. of 2-inch water service line, PVC, C-901; 135 L.F. of 1 1/2-inch water service line, PVC, C-901; 20 L.F. of 2-inch drain pipe, PVC, SDR 26; 20 L.F. of 1 1/4 inch water service line, PVC, C-901; 645 L.F. of 1 1/2-inch sanitary sewer forcemain; 290 L.F. of 6-inch sanitary sewer, trenched, PVC, SDR 26; 70 S.Y. of 4-inch PCC Sidewalk; 330 tons granular surfacing; and miscellaneous appurtenant work usually associated with building projects. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The Proposed Parks Buildings listed shall be fully operational by April 26, 2024 with all site work and seeding completed by May 31, 2024. The Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $500 for each consecutive calendar day after each specified completion date that the project is not fully completed. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond. The form of the bond shall be as provided in the bid documents. The bond shall be with an acceptable surety company, licensed in the State of Iowa, as surety in the amount ofat least one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price as security for the faithful performance of this Contract, and payment of all persons performing labor or furnishing materials or equipment in connection with this Contract. Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8. The bid security shall be 10% of the bid amount. The City of Fairfield reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after receipt of bids and no bid may be withdrawn during this period. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The City of Fairfield does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids and alternatives, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the jurisdiction
