The project consists of partial building renovations, two new additions, and various site improvements. The main western events lobby will be enlarged and reorganized to consist of: district office, lobby, display wall, and concession stand. A new corridor will be cut through the existing district office which would lead to the new southern addition. The southwest addition includes a new weight room constructed with concrete block and stone veneer. A large storefront ribbon window wraps its west and south facades with steel structure. The north addition has two parts: CTE/shop space and the classroom/hardened space. The shop is constructed of concrete block with face brick along with steel superstructure. The hardened space (not an ICC-500 rated0 00 0 addition) has precast concrete panels with core decking for both roof and floor structure, and provides multiple classrooms, storage rooms, Seminars, and a new stair tower. An old boiler shall be removed from the building and replaced with new mechanical systems, and a packaged roof top unit will be added to serve the school's competition gym/Lion's Den. The floor will be replaced in the old 1939gym. Site improvements include: repairing a cast in place concrete stair structure, turfing a playground, extending the existing underground water detention system, and additional parking Bidders' Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid Meeting to bidders' questions received up to 48 hours prior to meeting Successful bidder shall begin the work upon Contract execution and shall complete all work on or before August 1, 2024. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond within ten (10) days after award in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in an amount not less than five percent ( 5% ) of the bid amount. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days following the date of the opening of bids. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, re-advertise for new bids, and to waive informalities and irregularities in the bids submitted. The project cost is anticipated to be approximately $5,300,000.
