Renovation of a municipal facility in Highland, Utah. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Removal of existing concrete sidewalk, curb & gutter, pedestrian ramp, & asphalt pavement, new asphalt pavement tie-in, concrete curb & gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway, reconstruct storm. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Questions should be sent to the City Engineer, Andy Spencer via email to: aspencer@highlandcity.org. Questions must be submitted by May 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond will be required Old Bish Lane and Knight Blvd. must always remain open during the construction. Contractor may propose lane reductions with flagging, etc. as needed to accomplish the project. There will be a simultaneous construction project south of this area that will not allow for traffic to be diverted to 10100 North. Description and Scope of Work: Removal of existing concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, pedestrian ramp, and asphalt pavement, new asphalt pavement tie-in, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, concrete driveway, reconstruction of storm drain elements, and adjustment of utility features to grade. Work is located on Ole Bish Lane and Knight Avenue at North County Boulevard (SR-129). Work within the UDOT right-of-way will require compliance with UDOT Standard Construction Specifications and Standard Drawings. The method of measurement and payment for the various items comprising the completed work follows: Payment for the items shall be compensation in full for the furnishing of all overhead, labor, material, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary to complete the work in a good, neat, and satisfactory manner as indicated on the Plans or as specified, with all connections, APWA required materials testing performed by an independent third party testing laboratory (paid for by the contractor), painting, cleanup, and related work completed. Each item, fixture, piece of equipment, etc., shall be complete with all necessary connections and appurtenances for the satisfactory use and/or operation of said item. No additional payment, including work done by the contractor for his convenience, shall be made for work related to each item unless specifically noted or specified. Measurement shall be in place in the completed work with no allowance for waste.
