Renovation of a stadium in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
As of July 6, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to June 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Steamboat Springs is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide design services for a 2nd Sheet of Ice Expansion Design Project, civil site improvements, and infrastructure design. The project area is adjacent to the existing Howelsen Ice Arena site. The project intent is to extend the ice space on the site with a second sheet of ice space and connect the two buildings to retain the existing main entrance as the flow for rink users. The City of Steamboat Springs reserves the right to reject any and all bids and proposals and enter into a contract or issue a purchase order which, in its opinion, best serves the needs of the City of Steamboat Springs and its citizens
