Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Newport, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a detention facility; and for paving for a detention facility.

This project scope of work consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1. Interception of the existing maintenance building sanitary sewer line with a new manhole and installation of a new sanitary line to the new exterior grease interceptor. 2. Furnish and install a new code compliant, exterior grease interceptor properly sized for the facility, including an anti-buoyancy system and concrete topping slab. 3. Install a new sanitary sewer line from building A2 to the new exterior grease trap. 4. Furnish and install a temporary wall, ventilation, and dust control in the kitchen for the grease trap demolition. 5. Furnish and install a temporary three bay sink and grease trap in the kitchen. 6. Rerouting of sanitary plumbing within building A2 to direct flows from the 3-bay sink to the new exterior grease trap. 7. Demolition of the existing grease interceptor and all associated piping and fittings, repair of any sub-slab issues caused by the leaking trap, patching of the kitchen floor slab and epoxy coating of floor repair area. 8. Furnish and install a new sprinkler tank access hatch. 9. Seal the boiler room floor and sprinkler tank as indicated in the drawings. 10. Furnish and install a new freezer as indicated in the drawings. 11. Demolition of the existing loading dock and stairs, and replacement of the same. Includes repairs to the overhead door and frame, and split-face CMU building exterior. 12. Repair the concrete sidewalk beneath the portico on A2 that connects the dining hall and main control entrances. 13. Repair the columns on building A2 in front of the main control at the top of the upper yard stairs. 14. Repair the upper yard stairs. 15. Repoint and re-caulk in areas indicated in the drawings. 16. Demo the existing fuel- Underground Storage Tank (UST). Provide a temporary above ground fuel tank and all the necessary connections to keep the existing systems operational. Install a new UST. Size to match existing. Design provided by contractor. 17. Pavement demolition. Sub-base reconstruction and repaving of the loading dock area as indicated in the drawings. 18. Demo the 6' tall chain link fence that is behind the woodshed. Save fencing material for re-use. Rebuild the 6' chain link fence at the end of the project. 19. Demo a section of the woodshed to allow for truck traffic during construction. Rebuild at the end of the project to match existing. 20. Install a new exterior grease trap. 21. Install under drainage along VCI 1. 22. Demo the existing dumpster pads. Install two dumpster pads. 23. Provide a temporary 20' mobile freezer trailer and all the necessary hook-ups at VCI-2 during the loading dock and fuel tank construction. Move the temporary freezer up to the loading dock area for use during the freezer reconstruction. Provide all the necessary hook-ups for the temporary freezer near the loading dock. 24. Provide temporary fencing where needed to ensure there are always two security fences. Ensure the PID system is operational at the end of each day. Provide 48hr notice to any interruption to the security fence and PID system. Construction projects over $100,000 Questions in writing to BGS.OPCVendorDocs@vermont.gov no later than 4:30 PM on May 25, 2023.
